History of ORR

Christopher Taylor and Rindy Taylor, were local restaurant & bar owners when they first had the idea for Oil Region Recovery. After a conversation with a family friend, it became apparent that there was a need for additional drug and alcohol treatment in their hometown of Franklin, PA.

They discovered that many treatment centers in the area were operating at full capacity, which meant that oftentimes, those who needed treatment were turned away.

Rindy has seen firsthand what substance abuse does to a family. Her grandson has struggled with addiction, and she often visited him in jail and rehab. After much research and many phone calls and meetings, Oil Region Recovery started to become a reality.

Chris and Rindy opened the doors to ORR on November 25, 2019, and have since made it their goal to provide exceptional care to those in Franklin, PA, and surrounding communities.

Since the opening in 2019, Oil Region has added three new levels of care in order to show our commitment to offering a comprehensive range of services to meet different needs. The increase in capacity from a 15-bed facility to a 40-bed treatment center indicates a significant growth in the our ability to accommodate more clients. The vast 270-acre location provides ample space for outdoor activities and potential future expansions.

We are currently remodeling the gym to include four basketball hoops, free weights, exercise equipment, and an indoor walking track to demonstrates a focus on promoting physical health and well-being among residents. Additionally, we are repainting and adding hand-built wardrobes in each bedroom to create a more comfortable and personalized living environment for each client.

Overall, Oil Region's commitment to enhancing its facilities and services is to better serve and support our community.
